内容 In this paper we discuss, in the light of three concepts, Keynes's 'probability relation', Hicks's 'causality' and Hahn's 'understanding', two propositions stated by J.M. Keynes : (1) 'Economics is a branch of logic, a way of thinking'; and (2) 'Economics is a science of thinking in terms of models joined to the art of choosing models which are relevant to the contemporary world'. Our conclusion is that Keynes's 'probability relation' provides a general framework to classify ways of thinking in terms of models.
