内容 1. During 1951 and 1953 experiments have been conducted concerning the peanut plant in relation to the flowering order and the leaf emerging. 2. The flowering order in Valencia peanut plant, a variety having very few branches, was observed, in the begining. Within certain peviod after blooming of the first flower in a cluster, the first flower in the cluster on the next nodes of the same branche blooms, in succession from the lowest node toward the branch end. The relation may be expressed by a line as follows: y=a+bx, whereby represents the days that the flower on the x-th node takes until its blooming after that of the flower on the first (x=1) node of the same branch. 3. The same rule with a very little modification may be applied to blooming order in the variety Chiba-Churyu-43 of which the branches show a more complex mode of growth. 4. During July and August, concerning to the leaf emerging in the variety Valencia, the same rule may be found, too, and the relation may be expressed by a line y' = a'+b'x wbereby represents the days, that the leaf emer/ging on the x-th node takes until its emerging after that of the leaf on the first node of the same branch. 5. The flowering runs parallel to the leaf emerging; these two start nearest the bsae and progress, node by node, towards the tapering end of the branch. 6. It takes about 25 days from the beginning of the flower bud-differentiation till the blooming, and the former runs parallel to the flowering and the leaf emerging. 7. The numerical value of the "b, " required from the lines in relation to the flowering and the leaf emerging, represents the interval between the days flowering and the leaf emerging on the x-th node and that on the (x+1)-th node of the same branch; it is interesting to be able to find with both the Valencia variety and the Chiba-Churyu-43 that the variatin of the numerical value dues to every envir ronments, represents the growth which is proper to the environment.
