人工腎臓透析患者治療食について   :   Studies on Cure Food for Inpatient treated with Artificial Kidney Dialysator

内容 We studied on cure food for renal diseases at the Chiba University Hospital and one of units satellite hospitals from April '75 to March '76. In a year, at the Chiba University Hospital ca. 6000 renal cure foods were supplied. This figure was 3 percent of all diet of inpatient and 15 percent of special cure food. The cure food for the patient of the chronic artificial Kindney dialysed belongs to IV class cure food for chronic renal failure (Table 1). It is rich in total calories and low in protein. But high quality of protein is required and all essential aminoacids must be sufficiently contained. The loss of essential vital Substances after dialyse must be considered. The criterion of essential aminoacids for human being is not fixed even now. The cure food for the dialysed at Chiba University Hospital was met the criterion of FAO/WHO determined in 1973. The dialysed are well trained to keep prescription.
