精神薄弱児の弁別任意移行における言語反応の効果   :   The Effect of Cue Labelling and Verbalization in the Discrimination Optional Shift of Mentally Retarded Children

内容 本研究では, 正常児(CA3〜10歳, 245名)と精薄児(MA5〜11歳, 178名)を対象に, 弁別任意移行に及ぼす言語反応訓練の効果に関して発達的に比較検討した。得られた主な結果は以下の通りである。1.知覚的移行優勢から概念的移行優勢に転じる過渡的年齢段階は, 統制群では正常児CA5〜6歳, 精薄児MA7〜8歳であり, 言語反応群では正常児CA3歳, 精薄児MA7歳程度である。2.知覚的移行を先行弁別の適切刺激に対する反応と不適切刺激に対する反応とに分けると, 統制群では前者の反応が低年齢段階に比べ高年齢段階において多い傾向にある。他方, 言語反応群では年齢段階の違いによる差異はみられず, 一貫して前者の反応が多い傾向にある。3.概念的移行の中での言語化の成績及び移行の内容を3つのカテゴリーに分けた場合の概念的言語媒介移行に注目すると, これらの割合が統制群に比べ言語反応群において著しく多いのは, 正常児CA5〜7歳, 精薄児MA5・6〜8歳である。但し, 正常児はCA4〜5歳にかけての増加が著しく, 精薄児はMA5歳以後漸進的に増加する。以上のことから, 言語反応訓練は正常児と精薄児の概念的移行, 特に概念的言語媒介移行を増加すること, またその効果の程度において両者は異なることを示唆し, これらの点について考察した。
The present study was to assess the effect of cue labelling and verbalization for the relevant dimension ("size") on discrimination optional shift (FIG.1) with normal and mentally retarded children. The Ss were 245 normal children and 178 mentally retarded ones without obvious emotional and motor disorders. Their ages in CA from 3 to 10 in the normal group and MA from 5 to 11 in the retarded group (IQ 48-80). Each of the Ss was randomly assigned to one of the two experimental conditions: a control group and a cue labelling and verbalization group. (TABLE 1) The main results were as follows: 1. (a) In both the normal and the retarded groups, the conceptual shift increased at all age-levels by training cue labelling and verbalization. (b) In the normal and the retarded control groups, the proportion of children selecting conceptual shift became higher than that selecting perceptual shift in the CA 5-6 range and in the MA 7-8 range, respectively. In the normal and the retarded cue labelling and verbalization groups, on the other hand, this phenomenon was noticed on about the CA 3 level and on about the MA 7 level, respectively. (FIG.2) 2. (a) Between the normal and the retarded, it was common that the proportion of children who verbalized the discrimination cues of the conceptual shifters (conceptual verbal-mediation shifters) in the cue labelling and verbalization group was higher than that in the control group at all age-levels. (b) Moreover it was also found that this effet for the retarded and the normal was larger at an earlier age-level than at a later age-level. (c) The proportion of conceptual verbal-mediation shift increased remarkably in the CA 4-5 range for the normal, and showed a tendency to rise gradually as MA level increased for the retarded. (FIG. 4, TABLE 4) From these results of the normal and the retarded, it is suggested that cue labelling and verbalization produce more effective verbal mediational functioning on the basis of relevant dimension level("size"), especially at an earlier age-level.
