桃の無袋果実の特性に関する研究   :   Some Characteristics of Peach Fruits cultured by Non-bagging Condition.

内容 桃果実の保護の目的をもつて実施されている袋掛が果実の着色, 硬度, 果皮の厚さ, 果実の成分などにいかなる影響を及ぼしているかを明らかにし, 無袋果実が有袋果実にくらべ, 実用的価値においてすぐれている点の多いことを知つた.各特性について比較して得た結果の大要は次のようである.1.果実の紅色色素の発達程度は品種によつて差があるが, 有袋・無袋両区間の差異も品種によつてちがつた状況を示す.着色程度のちがいによつて次の4群に類別した.a)有袋・無袋両区の間に着色程度に差があり, 有袋果では色つきが悪いが, 無袋ではどす黒い程度の濃紅色を示すもの……伝十郎, 白鳳, 土用, 橘早生などb)有袋・無袋両区の間に着色に差があるが, 有袋果は色つきが悪く, 無袋果でもそれほどひどい濃紅色を示さないもの……離核, 岡山500号など c)有袋・無袋両区の間に着色の差がひどくなく, 有袋でもある程度の着色を示し, 無袋果でも相当程度の着色を示すもの……旭, スイカ桃, 天津, 昭和, 大久保など d)有袋・無袋両区の間に着色の差がひどくなく, 有袋でもある程度の着色を示すが, 無袋でもあまり着色せず, 商品価値を損ずるほどでないもの……早生玲紅, 佐五平, 日月などしたがつて, 無袋果でも外観がひどく劣変しない品種としては, 旭, 早生玲紅, 佐五平, 日月, 昭和, 大久保, スイカ桃, 天津などがあげられる.2.果実の硬さは有袋・無袋によつてそれほど大きな差異を示さないが, がいして無袋果の硬度が減少する傾向を示している.3.果皮の厚さは無袋果の方が有袋果より厚くなつている.4.糖分含有量は無袋果の方が有袋果より10%内外多くなつている.5.果実内の酸の含量は無袋果が有袋果よりいく分少いようで
The fruit-bagging is one of the most important particular practices on the fruit culture in our country. Because it affects not only to diminish the damages of fruit brought by insects and fungi, but also to promote the appearance and qualities of fruit. In spite of above mentioned facts, it was clarified by our present experiments that in peach culture non-bagging method was of significance for practical use by peach varieties concerning on the surface fruit color, the thickness of fruit skin, the firmness of the flesh, and the content of soluble solids, acidity and vitamin C. Our experiments were carried out with some plots at three orchards at three places Matsudo (Orchard of Horticultural College in Chiba University), Yahatamura (Gumma-prefec-ture) and Asahimura (Ibaragi-prefecture). The results obtained were summerised as follows. 1. Judging from the difference of coloring conditions appeared on a fruit surface, it could be classified into four groups shown in next table. [table] Therefore in such varieties as Asahi, Sagohei, Wase-Reiko, Nichigetsu, Showa, Okubo, Tenshin, Suika-momo, the fruit appearance were not affected by the bagging condition. 2. Bagging of a peach fruit originally has no influence on the firmness of fruit skin, but we could see more firmness to some degree in bagging than that in non-bagging. 3. A peach fruit cultured by bagging has less thickness of fruit and content of soluble solids (about 10%) than that of non-bagging cultured. 4. As for acidity content in a fruit, we could not discriminate between bagging and nonbagging, but the former has much acidity to some extent than the latter. 5. Vitamin C of non-bagging fruit has also contained about 10 percent more than that of bagging fruit. 6. It could be said that the date of maturity of non-bagging fruit was earlier than that of bagging, in consequence of the variation of firmness, soluble solids and pectine content and coloring condition of peach fruit by bagging.
