小型撒粉器使用による果樹の増量花粉の撒布方法に関する研究   :   Studies on Spray Methods of Compound Pollen of Fruittrees by the Application of Small Powder Sprayer.

内容 昭和28年度(1953)に於て, 果樹の混合花粉の適当な撒布方法を見出すへく, 小型撒粉器を用いて実験を行つた.その結果は次の通りである.1.新鮮な果樹の花粉は, 撒粉器ガラス球内壁面に相当に附着する.そこで, この欠点を防ぐために樹脂塗料を用いた.塗料はメラミンザボン及びシリコンオィルラッカーである.2.両者とも, 包蔵する混合花粉の量が少い場合には, 上の目的に役立つことがわかつたが, その量が多い場合には, その影響は顕著でなかつた.3.混合花粉を撒布する場合には, 撒布距離はなるべく, その目的物に近接させるべきである.4.撒粉器使用によつて授粉した結果は苹果紅玉種には好ましいものでなかつた.これは, その開花状態に変化があることが関係しており, 一方向からの撒布では, 飛散花粉が花柱に不平均に着くためであると考えられる.5.富有柿ではよい結果が得られた.果実の結果歩合, 含有種子数は人手による交配に比較して, 少しも遜色がなかつた.
In 1953, the experiments were carried out by using a small powder sprayer, to find the desirable spray method of compound pollen of fruit-trees. The results were as follows: (1) Fresh pollen of fruit-trees considerably adhere to the inner surface of the sprayer's glass glove, therefore, some resin ruckers were applied to prevent this defect. These were melamin-zabon and cilicon oil ruckers. (2) Both of them were very effective to the above object, in case where the quantity of contained compound pollen was little, but in case where it was much, their effects were not remarkable. (3) In case of the compound pollen spraying, the spray should be practised as near as possible to the objects. (4) The desirable results of pollination by means of the powder sprayer were not recognized in case of Jonathan apples. It is considered that the above results were caused by the variability in the blossoming situation, and the scattered pollen unequally attached to their pistals by the spray from the same direction. (5) The desirable results were attained in case of Fuyu-kaki. Accordingly, their fruit set percentage and numbers of seeds contained in fruits were by no means inferior to practised by hand pollination.
