内容 1)球根アイリスのWedgewoodを使用して, 低温処理10℃連続40日区, 10℃20日後, 5℃20日の変温区を設け, 各区の処理期間中の湿度を各々30%, 60%, 90%にしたところ次の結果を得た.2)冷蔵中における球根重量の減少は, 両区共湿度の低いものほど減量歩合が高かった.3)ノーズの長さは, 10℃区の90%貯蔵が最も長く, 60%がこれにつぎ, 10℃後5℃区の90%はやゝ短かいが, ノーズは太い.30%区は両区共に小さかった.4)花芽の発育は処理終了時において, 10°後5℃の90%, 10℃の90%, 60%の順であって, 苞形成の初, 中期に進んでいたが, 30%は何れも分化期に達せず, 葉数も少なかった.5)定植時の発根は, 10℃区は10°後5℃区より多く, その数は湿度に比例して多かった.6)発芽は多湿区が早く, 小湿区は非常に遅れた.7)発芽後の生育開花は, 多湿区が早く, 小湿区は初期の生育が緩慢であった.8)小湿区は両区共に花茎は細く, 葉幅も細かった.9)小湿区の内仔球は発芽をした.
The present study was designed to test the effect of varying relative humidities during cold storage on the forcing quality of bulbous iris, var. "Wedgewood". The experiment was made under the following conditions: I) Storage of bulbs for 40 days from Aug. 30 to Oct. 10 at a temperture of 10℃. and relative humidities of 30, 60 and 90 per cent. II) Storage of bulbs for 20 days from Aug. 30 to Sep. 20 at a temperature of 10℃. followed by storage for 20 days from Sep. 21 to Oct. 10 at 5℃. and relative humidities of 30, 60 and 90 per cent. III) Ordinary storage in a bulb-storehouse. The results noted were as follows: 1) The per cent weight loss of bulbs during cold storage period was increased with decreasing the storage humidity. 2) Storage of bulbs at 10℃. for 40 days and 90 per cent humidity gave the longest bulb nose and longer one in storage lot at 60 per cent relative humidiy. And the noses in bulbs stored at 10°-5℃. and 90 per cent humidity were somewhat shorter but thicker. In 30 percent humidity lots those of bulbs were not so large as in bulbs of other storage lots. 3) Flower bud development at the end of cold storage period in storage lots of 10℃. at 60 per cent, at 90 per cent and 10°-5℃. at 90 per cent humidity in order reached early to middle stage of bract formation. No flower bud differentiation occurred, however, in bulbs stored at a relative humidity of 30 per cent by that time and those had fewer Jeaves. 4) There was less rooting of bulbs stored at 10°-5℃. than stored at 10℃. by the time of planting and number of roots tended to increase as the storage humidity was increased. 5) Storing bulbs at high humidity resulted in accelerated germination but much delay in germination was found in low humidity storage lots. 6) Much faster growth and earlier flowering were obtained from bulbs stored at high humidity than from those stored at low humidity that grew slowly in their earlier stage of growth. 7) The plants stored at low humidity during cold storage period had narrower flower st
