内容 圧搾酵母の懸濁液がローダミンBを吸着する現像について実験を行ない次の結果を得た.(1)熱処理をして死滅させた酵母はよく色素を吸着し, その吸着量は温度時間の影響を受けること少なく, 接触後殆ど直ちに極限量の色素を吸着する.(2)生きた酵母細胞も色素を吸着するがその吸着量は温度, 時間の増大により増加し, 且実験のたびに得られる値に開きが大きい.(3)(1)と(2)の結果から生細胞による色素の吸着は現像が複雑であろうと推論した.(4)色素の吸着量の測定を酵母の死滅率の測定に応用する方法について述べた.
Studies were made on the adsorption of rhodamine-B by the suspension of yeast under various conditions. (1) Heat treated dead yeast cells adsorbed rhodamine-B, and its adsorption was little affected by temperature and time of dyeing. The amount of adsorbed rhodamine-B was nearly in linear relationshp with the amount of dead yeast employed. (2) Living yeast cells also adsorbed rhodamine-B, however, its adsorption was very little when compared with that of dead yeast cells. In this case the adsorption was much influenced by temperature and time of dyeing. (3) These results showed that the dye-uptake by living yeast cells is a more complex one than does the dead yeast cells. (4) Discussion was made on the method of determining the rate of dead cells of yeast preparation using rhodemine-B.
