内容 切花の品質, 収量と栽培様式, 栽植密度との関係を春まきアスターを用い実験し, 品質, 収量の変動を種種の表現方法で考察した。切花の品質のうち最も重要な因子は茎葉部および花部との調和, 比率であると考え収量はこの優秀品質個体の一定面積あたりの総和であるとした.栽植様式は1条, 2条植および床作りで種種の栽植距離を組合せた.は種は5月6日.結果:単独切花品質決定因子である草たけ, 葉数, 大きさ, 茎の太さ(データ省略), 地上部重, 花数, 大きさ, 花茎重(分枝重)などは高・低密度とも悪く中程度の密度区がすぐれた.また開花勢は低密度区が早い.調和(総合)切花品質決定因子である花茎長/草たけ率, 葉重/花茎重(L/F比), 花茎重および茎葉重間の一次回帰式の比較などによればバランスは低密度区の花部が大ですぐれ花の品質としては好ましかった.収量決定因子のうち切花の均質性は度数分布, 変動係数より顕著でないが高, 低密度がすぐれた.一定面積あたりの茎葉, 花茎重の総収量は明らかに高密度がよい.1個体あたりの被度は低密度区が高い.土地の利用率は明らかに高密度がよい.低密度区の生育不良は地表面の高温, 乾燥, 逆に高密度では競合が原因になったと考えられる.けっきょく切花の品質, 収量のみでなく実際的見地(栽培管理の難易, 経済性, 植物の生態的性質, 圃場微気象など)より見て, 本実験ではうね幅30cm, 株間15cmあるいは20cmの1条植がよく, 多少草たけは劣るが収量の点より床作りも可能である.
Variation in quality and yield of cut flowers with spring-sown China aster in relation to various spacings was analyzed. The balancing (proportional) relationship between leaves and flowers was considered to be one of the most important factors in cut flower quality and the yield of cut flowers must be the higher production of the well-balancing cut flowers per unit area. China aster, variety Otaki, sown on May 6, was grown in single and double rows and bed with various spacing combinations. Individual quality determinants such as plant height, size and number of leaves, stem diameter, plant and flower stem weight and size and number of blooms were smaller in wide and close spacings than intermediate one. This depressed growth of plants in wide spacing distance was thought to be responsible for the higher soil temperature (40-50℃) in the row, naturally bringing about moisture deficiency in the soil during growth and in denser planting plots the competition among the neighboring individuals for water, nutrients and light. Percentage of flowering in a week after it started was higher in wider spacings. Balancing (proportional, relative or correlative) quality determinants as percentage of flower stem length to plant height, leaf weight/flower stem weight (L/F ratio) and comparison of regression formula between leaf weight and flower stems were determined. These values which determine the balancing quality were larger in wider spacings suggesting advantageous results for the cut flower. As yield determinants in cut flower production, uniformity of cut flowers per plot examining with frequency distribution and coefficient of variation, total weight of leaf stem or flower stem per unit area, coverage of a plant and percentage of land area used by total plants per plot were examined. Uniformity of cut flowers in wide and close spacings was superior to that produced in the intermediate one.
