内容 第1報(各種構成土壌における日本芝の生育並びに茎葉の強度について)に用いた各種土壌改良剤による構成土壌について, 物理的諸性質を調べたところ次の通りであつた.1 土壌粒子の直径0.1mm以上を有効団粒とすれば, 各改良区とも団粒促進効果が認められた.特にS2, SPL, L2, S1の各区は, 対照に比べて20〜30%の団粒促進効果があつた.これらの区は芝の生育試験の結果も良好な成績を示した.2 透水性大なるものはSPL, S2, L2, C2, S1, の各区で特に前3者は対照区に比べて6〜7倍の透水効果があり, これらは雨中競技を行うことの多い競技場に好適であろう.3 S2, SPL, S1などは含水比は24〜33%で, これらは乾燥の激しい時期には適宜灌水を行える設備が望ましい.4 SPLは競技場の芝地の土壌構成材料としてすぐれた性質を持つており, 原地盤の状況, 雨中競技を行う頻度, 改良土層の深さ, その地方の雨量などを考慮してPの量を増減すれば適応性の広い良好な土壌構成と云うことが出来よう.
Physical conditions of soils used in a preceding report were examined. 1. Any conditioners adding to plots enhanced the aggregate of soils, indicated by measuring the weights of soil, 0.1mm above in diameter, thought to be available for plant growth. An increased aggregation of soil up to 20-30 0x1.362d4p-890s compared to the control was found, particularly in the plots of S2 (rich in soil), SPL (sand+perlite+Soiluck), L2 (rich in Soiluck) and S1 (low in sand) and also led to good growth of plants, as already described in a foregoing paper. 2. Increased percolation and infiltration of water were obsered on the plots, SPL, S2, L2, C2 (rich in cokes) and S1. Particularly the first three plots had permeable ability of soil 6-7 times greater than did control. This suggests that it may be beneficial for athletic fields, where it is often necessary to use in raining. 3. From the fact that soil moisture content of S2. SPL and S1 plots was only 24-30%, these plots will be advised to have equipments for irrigation during the dry parts of the year. 4. It was found that SPL (amixture of sand, perlite and Soiluck) had a superior quality as a soil material for lawn ground of athletic fields and it will be more favourable for a soil material by controlling amounts of perlite in proprtion to sand and Soiluck depending on the soil base, frequency of uses in raining, depth of amended soil layer and precipitation of the year.
