内容 第1報(中島ほか, 1960)の総論に対する各論の展開をはかるため, 千葉県長生部一宮町におけるトマト生産の実態を調査し, 主産地形成に関する若干の考察を試みた.その結果を要約すれば次のようである.1.調査地の農業は, 大平洋に直面する海洋性気候と, 砂質土からなる立地的特異性のうえに成立する「米十施設野菜」・「米十果樹」・「米十露地野菜」・「米十畑普通作」・「米十畜産」などに数型化された複合型態をとる経営類型によって営まれている.調査対象地区の経営類型は, 稲作を基盤とし, 施設野菜(トマトーキウリ)を基幹作目とする経営類型が支配的であり, 専業農家によって営まれている.2.産地形成の要因と発展過程 1)トマトの露地作の起こりは戦後になってからであり(昭和24年), 施設園芸の産地化の動きをみせたのは, 昭和26年頃といわれる.当初はトンネル作であったが, その後に竹骨と変り, 鉄骨ハウスへの転換気運をみせたのは, 昭和36年頃頃とみられ, 農業構造改善事業の実施によって, 主産地の基盤が確立されたとみてよい.2)主産地形成の要因としては, 自然的・人的・社会経済的などの諸因子があげられ, これらの総合的作用の結果とみられる.なかでも, 社会的因子としての農業構造改善事業の実施, および生産・出荷組織の結成とその活動は, 特記されなければならない.3)トマトの農家普及と集団化の基盤は, 従来の部落制を有効に利用したとみられる.そのうえに個別生産を進め, 技術を向上するといった方式がとられ, 機能集団をつくったといえよう.3.主産地形成の段階 1)調査地の産地形成の段階は, 生産の量的優位性を確立した段階にあり, 農家による規模格差は少なく, 1戸当り施設の規模は1, 320m^

The present study was conducted for research on the actual conditions of the product tion of tomatos at Ichinomiya-Machi in Chiba Prefecture and also for its farm economic considerations pertaining to the making of their chief producing areas, the results of which are mentioned as follows. The farmers of the said community had predominantry adapted the type of diversified farming, which combines rice cultuve with the growing of tomatos. Their present type of tomato growing was mainly based on semi-forcing by means of vinyl houses. However, it was revealed that their type of growing was now on the forcing by means of heating. The making their chief producing ereas was observed by the common incentive of management improvement, some factors working firmly and others collectively. It was noted in this survey that the making chief producing areas started in about 1951 and established its basis by the reconstruction work of agriculture practiced in 1964. However, it was comfirmed that there was many kinds of considerable problems. The analysis of the result of their production revealed personal difference among the farmers as to the return thereof. Thus it was considered as absolutely requisite that the following measures as to be taken for the improvement of those chief producing areas as for their lasting management. Rather than the enlargement of producing scale for tomatos seemed desiarable. The maintenance of its status quo and the increase of their crop together with the improvement of their quality by intensive growing. Personal difference as to the farmers, yield and return should be dissolved through the collective effort on the part of the farmers and their leading agencies concerned.
