内容 観賞植物の色と色素の分布V.バラ品種内のアントシアニン色素の分布観賞価値と花色との関係をしり, 今後の新花色育成を目的として, 現代バラ670品種内の花色素を分析し, 花弁内の色素構成パターンを明らかにした。その結果, 構成色素は5で, これらの組み合せにより, 14パターンの色素構成が認められた。品種内には, 最も単純な構成の品種(シアニジン-3-グルコサイドのみ)から最も複雑な構成の品種(シアニジン色素2, ペラルゴニジン色素2.ペオニジンからなる)まであった。

Petals of 670 cultivars and 8 species of roses were analyzed for anthocyanin pigments and grouped according to their anthocyanin composition contained therein, in the hope of obtaining roses with new pigment composition and new colour. Five anthocyanins were identified, viz., cyanidin 3-glucoside and 3, 5-diglucoside, pelargonidin 3-glucoside and 3, 5-diglucoside and peonidin 3, 5-diglucoside. Of these, cyanidin 3, 5-diglucoside was present in all of the cultivars analyzed. The number of combination pattern of anthocyanins was found to be 14. Of these combinations, cultivars containing cyanidin 3, 5-diglucoside and 3-glucoside and only cyanidin 3, 5-diglucoside were the most common, particularly in Hybrid Teas. There was a large number of Floribunda cultivars containing 4 pigments, viz., cyanidin 3-glucoside and 3, 5-diglucoside and pelargonidin 3-glucoside and 3, 5-diglucoside. The more pelargonidin pigments contained in the flower, the more scarlet or orange it became. Peonidin 3, 5-diglucoside was found in large amounts in many of species, hybrid species and even in Floribunda, Hybrid Tea and Miniature roses. There was one cultivar in Shrub roses containing all 5 pigments found in this survey, being the most complicated pattern.
