内容 多灯点灯ないしは集団点灯の有利性を検討する一つの立場として, 飛翔中の吸蛾類の複眼明適化の過程の中で, 継続的照明の間に挿入される低照度がどのような意味をもつか, また遠隔灯の存在がどのような役割をもつかを, 模型実験によって調査した.その結果, 上記両項ともかなりの効果をもつことが推察された.多灯点灯ないし集団点灯の効果高揚の理由の一部は, これによって説明できそうである.

Chiba Univ., No.22: 89-92, 1974. Muss illumination may be considered as an effective method for controlling fruit-piercing moths, even if the illumination density is not so large. In order to analyze the effectiveness of muss illumination, some laboratory tests were conducted from the standpoint of moths' activity inhibition caused by light adaptation of their compound eyes. The low level luminosity, e. g. 0.5〜1 lux, which will act to moths continuously during their flight in the illuminated orchard, was recognized to be significant for acceleration of light adaptation. Distant lights distributed in the orchard were also recognized to be effective to make light adaptation, even if the enlargement of luminosity at the moths' flying area was very small.
