内容 フリージア, ラインベルト・ゴールデン・イエローを夜間温度10°, 20°, 30℃で促成栽培し, そこで得られた切花を5°, 20℃で貯蔵して, 栽培環境と切花寿命の関係を調査した.切花品質は栽培温度が低いほどよく, そこで得られた切花の寿命も長くなった.この場合低温貯蔵(5℃)が高温貯蔵より, さらに寿命がのびた.切花保存剤も低温栽培区, 低温貯蔵区の切花に効果が認められた.

Tech. Bull. Fac. Hort. Chiba Univ., No.23: 1-3, 1975. In order to study the effect of growing and storage temperatures on the longevity of cut flowers produced, corms of freesias, cv. Rheinbelt Golden Yellow, stored at 10℃ for 40 days (from August 5 to September 14, 1973), were grown at min. night temperatures of 10°, 20°and 30℃ for forcing and the flowers obtained were stored at 5°and 20℃ with or without floral preservative. The results obtained were as follows: the lower the growing temperature, the higher the cut flower quality produced and the later the flowering time. Cut flower life was influenced by the growing and storage temperatures. The lower the growing temperature, the longer the life of cut flowers produced. In this case, the life of flowers stored at 5℃ was longer than that of flowers stored at 20℃. The use of the floral preservative was effective in prolonging their life when used at lower temperature storage.
