内容 環紋葉枯病菌(Cristulariella pyramidalis WATERMAN & MARSHALL)の各種栄養源, 微量成分に対する利用性について検討した.本菌は単糖類, 複糖類, 多糖類を含む種々の炭素化合物を栄養源として利用し, 供試した14種類の中では, soluble starch加用培地での菌体生育がとくに顕著であった.本菌はアンモニア態窒素化合物を好適な窒素源として利用し, 硝酸態窒素や, 尿素, アセトアミドに対する利用性は低い.また亜硝酸態窒素化合物を含む培地では菌の生育がほとんど認められなかった.アミノ酸類に対しては, 本菌は幅広く利用するが, とくにL-glutamic acid, L-alanine, L-aspertic acidなどを単独に含む培地で菌体生育が旺盛であった.供試した9種類のビタミン類の中でthiamine HClは本菌の生育を著しく促進し, 100μgまたは200μg/l添加培地での菌体重量は無添加培地の約2.5倍におよんだ.金属類微量要素の中では, 硼砂による菌の生育抑制が認められ, 10^<-3>M添加培地での菌体重量は無添加培地の3分の1に減少した.

Nutritional requirements to the different sources such as carbon, nitrogen, amino acids, vitamins and trace metal elements of the zonate leaf spot fungus, Cristulariella pyramidalis WATERMAN and MARSHALL were studied. Well developments of mycelium and sclerotium of the fungus were recognized frequently in the different media added separately each kind of the 14 carbon compounds, especially soluble starch was the most suitable carbon source for mycelial and sclerotial growth of the fungus. The fungus sufficiently utilized ammonium salts as the nitrogen source for the fungus growth, however it showed poor utilization to nitrates, urea and acetoamide. No fungal growth recognized in the media added nitrites. Utilization to amino acids of the fungus showed variously for mycelial and sclerotial growth, and it recognized sufficient growth of the fungus in each medium added separately L-glutamic acid, L-alanine and L-aspartic acid among the 21 amino acids tested. Only thiamine-HCl of the nine vitamins gave remarkable growth promoting effect on the fungus. Among the 6 trace elements of metal used sodium borate retarded severely mycelial growth of the fungus in the medium added at 10^<-3> M to basal solution.
