反覆刈取処理がオーチャードグラスの再生に及ぼす影響   :   Influence of Carbohydrate Reserves on Regrowth of Orchardgrass after Cutting Treatments

内容 オーチャードグラスの再生に及ぼす刈株中の貯蔵炭水化物(TNC)の影響をみるため, 反覆刈取処理を行い, 刈株中のTNC量に差をつけ, 刈取処理後の再生量をみた.1.刈取時のTNC量の大小と刈取後7日目までの再生量はTNC約3000mgで大きく, TNC約800mg以下で小さかった.しかし, その差は小さく, 刈取7日目以降の再生量はTNC量とは関係なく増加した.2.刈取7日目までのTNC量の減少量と再生量の関係は, 特に刈取時のTNC量が低レベルのとき, 減少量は少ないにもかかわらず良好な再生をし, TNCへの依存度は低かった.3.TNCの役割は直接新生葉への移行という点においては小さいと考えられ, 呼吸基質としてのエネルギー源として重要であり, 再生は他の要因によるところが少なくないと思われた.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of total nonstructual carbohydrates (TNC) in stubble on the regrowth of orchardgrass (Dactylis gromerata L.). Plants were subjected to five different cutting frequencies during a 40-day period to change the levels of TNC in the stubble. After cutting treatments, the response of orchardgrass was measured at intervals during a 28-day recovery period. The stubbles containing in the range from 300mg to 3000mg/pot (each pot contained 3 plants) of TNC were obtained. The TNC level of 3000mg produced more new leaves for the first 7-day period after defoliation than others. But after the 14-day period new leaf tissue in low TNC levels grew at 70-80 per cent of the rate observed in the TNC level of 3000mg. The significance of the role in TNC on the regrowth declined as the regrowing leaves. The decrease of TNC in stubble for the 7-day following defoliation was much greater at high TNC contents. It is indicated that TNC was utilized for development of new leaves and respiration. However, in low TNC levels the decrease after defoliation was little and the regrowth was vigorous. These results suggested that for the whole of the observed growth rate of new leaf tissue, the role of TNC was little significant.
