内容 The use of etiolated petioles as explants permitted the complete elimination of microbial contamination in the tissue culture of cyclamen. The regenerative potential of etiolated petioles was superior to those of normal, non-etiolated petioles. The culture in the dark enhanced the growth of explants and their shoot differentiation. An optimum composition of basal medium for cyclamen cultures in vitro was proposed as 1/3 strength of MS medium.
