バラの花芽分化と開花枝との関係   :   The Relationship of Flower Bud Differentiation and Flowering Shoot in Roses

内容 12種, 8変種, 2種間交雑種および29品種のバラを用い, 花芽分化期を形態学的に観察した.また, 34種, 22変種, 7種間交雑種および82品種のバラを用い, 開花枝の節数, 長さを調査した.さらにこれらのバラにつき開花期を調査し, 各形質相互の関係を検討した.調査したすべてのバラで, 花芽分化は開花当年の萌芽とともに開始し, およそ40日から60日で発達を完了していた.開花枝の諸形質のうち節数は, 他形質に比べて開花枝間の変異が小さく安定し, 種および品種で固有であると思われた.種では, 節数は開花開始日と有意な正の相関(r=0.712)があり, 節数が多いほど開花が遅かった.現代の栽培バラ系統は, 節数の増加とともに節間長が長くなり, シュートが強勢になるように育成されてきたと考えられた.また, 種および品種によっては四季咲き性と一季咲きの中間的な開花性を示すものがあり, これらのバラでは開花枝の長さの割に節数が多いのが特徴であった.
Development of flower bud in 51 taxa of roses was observed with special emphasis on the characteristics of flowering shoots. The flower bud initiation of given species and cultivars occurred at sprouting period in spring, followed by flower bud development for about 40 to 60 days after that. The time of initiation and development of flower bud varied with species or cultivars. Some characters such as the number of nodes and internode length of flowering shoot were also observed in 145 taxa of roses. Among characters measured, variance in the number of nodes was rather small and the number of nodes was considered to be relatively constant in respective species and cultivars. In species, for example, the number of nodes was significantly correlated with date of anthesis (1-1.975677e+00vel, r=0.712). In considering the history of modern cultivated roses, it could be said that the number of nodes was gradually increasing and internode length became longer so that shoot becomes more vigorous during the course of improving. Some species and cultivars were found to show intermediate flowering type between recurrent flowering and non-recurrent flowering.
