内容 キウイフルーツ'ヘイワード'の果実肥大と成熟時の品質に対する葉果比(1.5, 3, 4.5, 6)の影響を調査した.結果枝に環状剥皮を行うと葉果比が増加するに従って果実重量が増加したが, 葉果比1.5では果実を適正または積極的に肥大させるまでには至らず, 葉果比3では通常の果実の肥大(約100g)を示し, 葉果比4.5及び6では肥大が促進された.一方, 結果枝に環状剥皮を行わないと, 葉果比にかかわらず果実の大きさはほぼ同じであった.KT-30処理果実でも肥大に対する葉果比の影響は, KT-30無処理果実と同様な結果であったが, 結果枝に環状剥皮を行った葉果比4.5及び6の果実では, 著しく肥大が促進された.正常な果実の肥大のためには, 葉果比が3であれば十分であり, また, KT-30による果実肥大促進にも葉果比が3であれば十分であった.なお, 果実肥大に対するKT-30の効果は, 果実のsink能を高めることであることが, 葉果比の面からも推察された.葉果比が果実の品質に及ぼす影響は, 特に糖度に認められ, 結果枝に環状剥皮を行うと, KT-30処理にかかわらず葉果比1.5で低く, また, KT-30無処理果実では葉果比3でも低かった.正常な品質の果実に生長するためには, 葉果比で4.5は必要であると推察された.
Effects of different leaf to fruit ratios (1.5:1, 3:1, 4.5:1 and 6:1) on fruit enlargement and quality of Chinese gooseberry (cv. Hayward) were studied. Fruit weight incresed as the leaf to fruit ratio increased on girdled bearing branches. However, fruit size was smaller than that of control fruit when the leaf to fruit ratio was 1.5:1, fruit enlargement was normal (about 100g) when the leaf to fruit ratio was 3:1 and fruit enlargement was hastened when the leaf to fruit ratios were 4.5:1 and 6:1. On the other hand, fruit enlargement was almost equal independent of the leaf to fruit ratios on non-girdled bearing branches. The effects of different leaf to fruit ratios on KT-30 treated fruits were the same on KT-30 nontreated fruits, but KT-30 treated fruit enlargement was markedly hastened when leaf to fruit ratios were 4.5:1 and 6:1 on girdled bearing branches. A leaf to fruit ratio of 3:1 sufficed for normal fruit enlargement and enhancement of fruit enlargement by application of KT-30. Nevertheless, it was also assumed from the effects of leaf to fruit ratios on fruit enlargement that the effect of KT-30 application on fruit enlargement was associated with increasing sink activity of fruit. The soluble solids of fruit were low when the leaf to fruit ratio was 1.5:1 in both KT-30 treated and non-treated fruits, and when the leaf to fruit ratio was 3:1 in KT-30 non-treated fruits on girdled bearing branches. Accordingly, it was assumed that a leaf to fruit ratio of 4.5:1 was required for normal fruit quality.
