団粒性用土「赤玉」の粒径別保水・透水機能について   :   Studies on the Mechanism of Water Retention and Transport for Different Size Classes of the Aggregate-Like Soil "Akadama"

内容 粒径別の団粒集合体の有効水分量は平均液相率0.136で, 安行表土(黒ボク)の0.25よりはるかに小さい.粒径別の団粒集合体の保水曲線は標準砂のような形を示し, このことから粒径別の団粒集合体の水分保持の能力は安行表土に比べて劣っているといえる.粒径別の飽和透水係数は2-5mmのものが0.65kg・s/m^3, 5-10mmのものが0.91kg・s/m^3, 10-20mmのものが1.56kg・s/m^3と極めて大きくなっている.なお, 団粒集合体の蒸発実験の結果によって恒率乾燥段階は2-5mmのものは16日まで, 5-10mmと10-20mmのものは15日まで, それ以降は減率段階に入るといえる.以上の結果, 赤玉が持つ保水特性及び透水性の変化は粒径別団粒集合体についてはそれほど大きな差が見られなかった.
The available water capacity in aggregate-like bodies of "Akadama" was 0.14 in average volume fraction of liquid, which was considerably lower than that of Angyou topsoil (humic volcanic ash). The soil water retention curve of "Akadama" showed a form similar to that of Toyoura standard sand for concrete test pieces. That is, the aggregate-body water-holding capacity was inferior to that of Angyou topsoil. The saturated hydraulic conductivity was 0.65kg・s/m^3 for 2-5mm par-ticles, 0.91kg・s/m^3 for 5-10mm particles and 1.56kg・s/m^3 for 10-20mm particles. Evaporation experiments in the aggregate-like bodies showed that first-stage drying is concluded within 16 days for 2-5mm particles size, and within 15 days for both 5-10 and 10-20mm. The second "reducing evapor-ation rate" stage then follows. Thus, the dependence of particle size on both soil water retentivity and conductivity was not overly large.
