内容 We commentated that the beauty of flowers in seed plants is related to the pollination by insects and birds, and that the entomophilous flowers have a sign to invite the pollinator. The sign is termed nectar guide or guide mark, which guides the pollinator to a gland-tissue to secrete nectar, that is, nectary. It is also mentioned that the flower form is suited to the figure of each pollinator. Based on these findings, it is suggested that the observation of the relationship between pollination and pollinator in the entomophilous flowers is an useful means for arousing interest in nature to children and students in elementary school, junior high school and high school.
