内容 The performance of pattern discrimination by honeybees in a multiple choice situation was better than that in a dual choice situation. This was explained that an incorrect choice in a multiple choice situation waste more time and energy on much visiting incorrect stimuli to seek the reward, so that bees discriminate stimuli more precisely. To get better performance in the discrimination experiment of magnetic fields, we applied this idea, and ascertained whether this theory was general in other sensations. We increased the number of choice to three or four, and walled in the choice to make it difficult to move into another choice. Inversely, the number of rewarding choice was increased in order to make it easy to get reward even in incorrect choice. The discrimination performance was improved in a triple choice experiment and the statistical significance was also increased. But in a quadruple choice, the performance was not so improved. Accuracy of discrimination was diminished with the increase of rewarding choice. So, the results of this study to some extent support the idea that the imprecision of the bees' discrimination increases according to the time and energy necessary for correction.
